The transition though difficult showed new ways of thinking and approaching matters that proved to be quite rewarding steps on my journey towards improvement. My coach, Debbie Joseph-Caddle, definitely boosted my sense of confidence in my ability , which in turn allowed me to be more willing to exercise my decision-making in the space. She emphasized the importance of decision-making and accepting occasional failures as being part of the learning process. Under her guidance, I developed the ability to test my ideas and take decisions with confidence, further enhancing my leadership skills. A key takeaway from her tutelage was this: Leadership isn’t about doing everything myself but ensuring things get done, either through my own work or through efficient delegation. One of the more unexpected but welcomed aspects of the program turned out to be having Debbie as a sounding board as well as access to the insightful tools for rethinking problem-solving and leadership practices that the program provides.
